Monday, January 11 at 5:00 PM, we were guests on Olivia Balzar’s Backstage on Radio Kaos Italy for a two-hour David Bowie special, with Aladdin Insane represented on this occasion—due to Covid restrictions—by Ambra Mattioli on vocals and guitar and Francesco Infarinato on piano.
We performed several songs live and shared anecdotes, curiosities, and emotions connected to David Bowie and his music.
The setlist included Lady Stardust, Space Oddity, Life on Mars?, Quicksand, and Loving the Alien. We also talked about Ambra Mattioli’s novel Black Star. During the broadcast, we had the pleasure of listening to Ezio Guaitamacchi, who joined us by phone to present his book Love, Death & Rock’n’Roll – The Last Hours of 50 Rock Stars, which includes several fascinating pages dedicated to David Bowie.
It was a truly rewarding experience: a radio show conducted by Olivia with warmth and sensitivity, guiding listeners through two hours of shared emotion and reminding us that music created with visceral passion is, indeed, immortal art.

Radio Kaos Italy ha trasmesso uno speciale di due ore dedicato a David Bowie, con ospiti Ambra Mattioli e Francesco Infarinato degli Aladdin Insane.
Lunedì 11 gennaio alle ore 17:00 siamo stati ospiti di Backstage, il programma condotto da Olivia Balzar su Radio Kaos Italy, per uno speciale di due ore dedicato a David Bowie, un sentito tributo al White Duke.
In questa occasione, a rappresentare gli Aladdin Insane siamo stati solo in due, a causa delle restrizioni Covid: Ambra Mattioli alla voce e chitarra e Francesco Infarinato al pianoforte. Abbiamo eseguito alcuni brani dal vivo e condiviso con il pubblico aneddoti, curiosità ed emozioni legate a David Bowie e alla sua musica.
In scaletta: Lady Stardust, Space Oddity, Life on Mars?, Quicksand e Loving the Alien. Abbiamo inoltre parlato del romanzo Black Star di Ambra Mattioli.
