It’s “Flat Time”, like the passing of hours at the time of the "lockdown", here in Italy, in the Year of the Lord 2020, at the beginning of the era of the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus.
Tommaso Tella is a dear friend. He is a musician, the guitarist of Aladdin Insane.
Tommaso is a “rocker”. He also follows the ClashBack project to play the Clash music: in this fun and light-hearted adventure Luciano Fubelli and Marco Di Nicolantonio, respectively bassist and drummer of Aladdin Insane band accompany him. In 2018 featuring Marco Di Nicolantonio, Tommaso records the album "Fairies Sprinkle Magic Dust" by Paolo Spunk Bertozzi. In fact, all of us "Aladdin" have a rocker soul, which appears, I think, in several of our “Bowian” performances.
In the months of Covid isolation, Tommaso composes six new songs reflecting his mood and memories in those days of "flat time". With heart and spirit, he embarks on the adventure to produce his own album, which he completes by pulling out three songs written years before. He plays guitar in all the pieces and in some of them even the bass. All drums are by Marco di Nicolantonio. What come about the voices? Here comes the fun! Tommaso asks to some of his vocalist friends, to help him in his project, singing each one of them different songs. The result is "Flat Time": album composed by nine rather heterogeneous rock songs however linked by a common thread.
It's "lockdown" time and the processing of the various songs start for each one in their own home. From June to September, as soon as the restriction conditions allow it, Tommaso and his friends complete the recording of voices, mixing, and editing of the tracks, in the "Soundmakers" studio of Valerio Cesaroni, dear friend and excellent professional sound engineer. The album release is in October 23 on all digital platforms.

FLAT TIME: “Tempo piatto”, come lo scorrere delle ore al tempo del “lockdown”, in Italia, nell’Anno del Signore 2020, inizio dell’era del Virus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
Tommaso Tella è un caro amico. È un musicista, chitarrista degli Aladdin Insane.
Tommaso è un “rocker”. Segue anche il progetto dei ClashBack per suonare la musica dei Clash: in questa divertente e scanzonata avventura lo accompagnano Luciano Fubelli e Marco Di Nicolantonio, rispettivamente bassista e batterista di noi Aladdin Insane. Ancora con Marco Di Nicolantonio, Tommaso incide l’album “Fairies Sprinkle Magic Dust” di Paolo Spunk Bertozzi.
In realtà tutti noi "Aladdin" abbiamo l’anima rock, che traspare, penso, in diverse delle nostre performance “bowiane”.
Nei mesi di isolamento Covid, Tommaso compone sei brani pensati proprio in quei giorni di "tempo piatto". Con cuore e spirito si imbarca nell’avventura di produrre un album con la sua musica, e lo completa tirando fuori dal cassetto tre pezzi scritti anni prima, che arrangia ex novo. Suona la chitarra in tutti i brani e in alcuni anche il basso. La batteria è di Marco di Nicolantonio. E le voci? E qui viene il bello. Tommaso chiede ad alcuni dei suoi amici cantanti di aiutarlo nel suo progetto, cantando ognuno brani diversi. Il risultato è questo “Flat Time”: album composto di nove brani rock piuttosto eterogenei legati tuttavia da un unico filo conduttore.
Siamo in tempo di “lockdown” e la lavorazione dei vari brani inizia per ognuno in casa propria. Da giugno a settembre, non appena le condizioni di restrizione lo consentono, Tommaso e i suoi amici completano la registrazione di voci, mixaggio, ed editing delle tracce, nel “Soundmakers” studio di Valerio Cesaroni, caro amico e valente fonico e ingegnere del suono. L’album viene pubblicato il 23 ottobre su tutte le piattaforme digitali.
